A moment with Kenza’s Father who is joined by founding members of The Love KENZA Foundation support team who are true experts in Addiction and recovery. Both Lynn Marie Saso and Lee Konecke are world-class Physiotherapists who not only dedicate their lives to battling Addiction and saving lives but undoubtedly will be a force in winning this Opioid war and educating the many whose support we will need to succeed.
The discussion of the current tragedy of Opioid Addiction and the battle we all face to stem this pandemic which the world has been losing for well over a century.
There are no social or economic barriers today as perception would have us believe, Opioid Addiction is not in the back alleys or limited to certain socio-economic classes. The crisis is affecting every social class, and every economic class and continues to rage through our world at every level of society.
Our voices are here to discuss and break the stigma and shame that this disease is plagued with unlike so many horrible diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes, and literally countless other diseases our world is facing which are met with true compassion and understanding, as they should be. So too should Addiction be
!Sadly compassion and understanding are still not embraced and associated with Addiction nor tragically felt by those struggling with Addiction. The true understanding that Addiction is also disease is one of the many obstacles that must be faced and will be one of many solutions that must be recognized as we strive to overcome the disease of Addiction.
Our voices are there to recognize the bravery displayed by those willing to ask for help as Addiction continues to traumatize and destroy the lives of those suffering from Addiction as well as the loved ones of those touched by Addiction. We must offer compassion and understanding.
